The walled city of Montagnana

Montagnana is one of the most interesting centers of typical Venetian food and wine.
It is the kingdom of ham, which we will taste in a sumptuous castle.
The particular position of Montagnana, located between the Euganean and Berici hills, has the perfect condition for drying and producing the quality of Montagnana ham.
We leave the hotel with e-bikes and reach the slopes of the Euganean hills. We meet Galzignano, a characteristic spa center, the elegant gardens of Valzansibio and the Catajo palace. From here with the cycle path that surrounds the Hills, we reach Monselice and Este.
A must is to visit the castle of Este, or what remains of it, belonged to the famous family allied to the Serenissima Republic of Venice and its splendid park.
Following the cycle paths on the banks of the reclamation canals, we reach Montagnana, a walled city, fascinating with its imposing well-preserved walls and the particular central square. Just a few kilometers and we reach a castle where we will find a delicious Montagnana ham tasting ready for us.
We return to Montagnana and await the transfer that takes us back to the hotel.
