Scheggino – Valico Forca di Cerro and back

Starting from the splendid village of Scheggino, we will go along a stretch of the old Roman road until we arrive at Castel San Felice, where we will pass next to a beautiful abbey from the 1200s. From here we will begin to climb towards the pass along the old state road that connected the Valnerina in Spoleto, with enchanting views over the Valnerina. Once we get to the top, we will be able to observe the Umbrian Valley. The return begins from the pass, from here we will descend to a very small village that will take us to the route of the former Spoleto Norcia railway. I could live the experience of faithfully following the route of the little blue train, in the suggestive mountain landscape where tunnels and viaducts of the railway, now a cycle path, create a perfect union between nature and engineering. Starting and returning to Valnerina enjoying the view of the valley and its splendid landscape from above.
