Park of the five lakes

A relaxing but very varied tour to discover the nature, history, art and customs of the territory along the Serra Morenica di Ivrea. The Canavese by bike is a real surprise for enthusiasts who find themselves cycling in this area for the first time. We will start from Romano Canavese to reach Pavone Canavese and admire its magnificent Castle pedaling towards Ivrea where we will discover a glimpse of the city (UNESCO site since 2018) and of the “cerulea Dora” stopping at the Canoe Stadium (where competitions are held worldwide ) to continue and get to immerse ourselves in a UNIQUE and SPECIAL PARK in the greenery of the Cinque Laghi ring to appreciate the calm of the morainic LAKES, nature and the scents of the woods just a stone’s throw from the city. Plan short stops in the middle of the green, in the panoramic points and on the shores of the lakes to admire a true oasis of peace, one of a kind, far from the stress and noise of the outside world. A tough climb will lead us along the Serra Morenica di Ivrea with the possibility of reaching the panoramic point of the Romanesque church of Santo Stefano and then to the emblematic “Ciucarun”, a place also closely linked to Adriano Olivetti, an emblematic figure of the Canavese in the world. We will go down again to walk along a stretch of the “Via Francigena” to the pretty village of Palazzo Canavese and take the way back: an itinerary that will offer us beautiful views that enhance the linearity of the Serra Morenica di Ivrea (about 20 km long) as well as glimpses on the characteristic Episcopal Castle of Albiano and on the imposing Castle of Masino. In this itinerary there will certainly be the opportunity to take breaks to discover and photograph the variety of Canavese landscapes and for enthusiasts to enjoy food and wine interludes at the numerous producers of wines and typical products, transforming this adventure on two wheels into a “tour Canavesano food “truly unforgettable.
