We leave Lake Garda and head north along the River Sarca, first to the foothills of Arco Castle, then each of Drena, we reach the beautiful pine forests in the Marocche area, which take us like a green tunnel to Pietramurata.
The labour that man has put in to cultivate the fields is nothing compared to the work of nature.
Over the millennia, the river has carved a veritable cathedral into the rocks of the Limarò Valley.
We reach Ponte Arche, where our path leads us back towards home. On hidden paths, between the maize fields of Lomaso, we tackle another climb up to Passo Ballino.
From there, our journey is all downhill, past the turquoise-coloured Lake Tenno to Riva del Garda. A tour for all those who like long distances without too many climbs.
