The cycle route Lago di Endine – Strada per Brembate sotto, a ring-route via Grumello del Piano, Bergamo, Seriate, 98 km long by road bike, is a challenging but rewarding route with wonderful views of Lake Endine and the surrounding hills.
The route heads south towards Lake Endine. The lake is a popular place for swimming, fishing and boating. The route runs along the lake for about 10 km, then turns east towards Bergamo.
Bergamo is a hilly city with a rich history. The city is home to numerous museums, churches and other historical sites. The route passes through the historical centre of Bergamo, then ascends to the Rocca, a medieval castle overlooking the city.
From the Rocca, the route descends to Seriate, a municipality located in the Po Valley and then back to Trezzo sull’Adda.
The best time to walk this route is from spring to autumn, when the weather is mild and the days are long. However, the route is practicable all year round, provided you are prepared for the weather.
