The Trezzo sull’Adda – Lecco cycle path along the Martesana is a 50 km route that runs between the River Adda and the Martesana Canal in Lombardy. It is a very scenic route, offering breathtaking views of the Lombardy countryside and the many historic villages along the way.
The route
The route is entirely flat and suitable for cyclists of all levels. It can be cycled in either direction, from Trezzo sull’Adda to Lecco or vice versa. The road surface is asphalted for most of the route, with some unpaved sections.

– The Adda Martesana Park: a 1400-hectare green oasis that is home to a rich flora and fauna.
– The Workers’ Village of Crespi d’Adda: a 19th-century industrial complex that is a UNESCO heritage site
– The Castle of Brivio: a medieval castle located on the banks of the Adda.
– The Bernaga Monastery: an ancient Cistercian monastery dating back to the 12th century.
– The Basilica of San Giovanni Battista in Monza: a Romanesque basilica preserving the Iron Crown, one of the symbols of the Roman Empire.
