CASTIGLIONE DELLA PESCAIA – PIAN D’ALMA –FOLLONICA – SCARLINO – GAVORRANO – RAVI –CALDANA – GRILLI – TIRLI – CASTIGLIONE DELLA PESCAIA
The itinerary starts uphill following the signs for Follonica and Punta Ala to get to Pian d’Alma.
Soon after, if you want a detour to the beach we recommend Cala Violina, otherwise we continue towards Follonica and Puntone. From Puntone continue to Scarlino in an apparently flat ground up to the top of the hill where the center of Scarlino is located. Pedaling uphill among vineyards and olive groves you reach Gavorrano, and then face the descent after the historic center immersed in the Mediterranean scrub.
Continuing towards Caldana and Grilli, take the detour to Vetulonia, one of the most important Etruscan cities rediscovered in the late 800s.
From here the easy return allows us a last stop in the historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia before returning to the hotel.
