CosmoBike Show, the bike festival in Verona you shouldn’t miss
CosmoBike, this year, changes date and format: it becomes at the same time the overture of a great season of biking and the cycling festival where you can find all the latest news of this field. In the city of Romeo and Juliet and during the weekend of “Verona in Love”, it will be an event that celebrates the love for this ancient but at the same time modern means of transport.
The 4th edition of CosmoBike Show will take place at the Fiera di Verona on February 16th and 17th. Will be the first event that will show the world of cycling in its complexity and which will promote it to a big audience in Italy.
It’s very interesting the Italian Oscar for cycling tourism, the Italian Green Road Award, conceived and promoted by the online cycling tourism magazine Viagginbici.com and which also boasts the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment.
The award is growing year by year and, given the response of almost all Italian territories, is now considered a springboard for initiatives on the theme of green and cycling, for the promotion of Italian territories interested to this new way of doing tourism and to create wellbeing thanks to activities such as bike shops, bike cafés, bike friendly facilities, agribike, etc.
Infrastructures, sustainable mobility, environment, research and development, health and social issues: these are the themes developed not only through this award, but which permeate the entire kermesse. In fact, Cosmobike also looks to the future of the sector, stimulating the use of the two wheels in everyday life as well as in leisure time, opening, for example, an ever-increasing space for the ever-growing e-bike sector. There will be even meetings and conferences: the topics will be about safety, about the technique and evolution of the racing bike, from the “specialissime” of the Seventies to the current “electric” models.
Prepared indoor slopes, where visitors and enthusiasts can test new products and exciting freestyler performances will take place with their spectacular evolutions.
And for the great cycling fans there will be champions of today and the past: Ivan Basso, Francesco Moser, Giuseppe Saronni, Gianni Bugno, Vittorio Adorni, Moreno Argentin, and Marco Aurelio Fontana.
At CosmoBike Show, furthermore, there will be introduced the Veneto stages of the upcoming Giro d’Italia, which will end in Verona, already home to historic arrivals, in 1981, in 1984 and in 2010, when the winners were Battaglin,Moser and Basso. The new format of Cosmobike Show has further developed its social side: for the whole weekend a selected panel of influencers will tell the bike in an unconventional way, through sport, lifestyle, tourism and food. Then the organizers have planned educational seminars to learn how to make the most of Facebook and Instagram in business.
