We will start from Romano Canavese pointing towards the Dora Baltea having as reference the magnificent Castle of Masino and go up to Caravino to continue in a panoramic “eat and drink” admiring the pretty villages of Settimo Rottaro and Azeglio with its Castle and then face the short climb which will lead us to Piverone Canavese and then on the ridge of the Serra Morenica di Ivrea (a jewel of inestimable naturalistic world value, it is a straight moraine ridge whose length exceeds 25 km and exceeds 600 meters in height). Pedaling immersed in the characteristic terraced vineyards of Erbaluce, a typical Canavese wine, we will arrive at Viverone and the lake; then we will descend along the banks and continue our itinerary along a delightful path around the lake itself (The surrounding environment, a fascinating area of swamps, meadows and poplar groves, is protected by specific Italian and European environmental protection regulations including the archaeological site Palafitticolo di Viverone which is part of the Unesco Heritage since 2011.). We will reach the village of Azeglio again to start the return road that in the last kilometers will cover the initial route that will continue to amaze us with the variety of scenarios and landscapes.
In this itinerary there is no shortage of pleasant places to stop and take breaks to discover and photograph the variety of Canavese landscapes and for enthusiasts to enjoy food and wine interludes at the numerous producers of wines and typical products, transforming this adventure on two wheels into a ” tour food Canavesano “truly unforgettable.
