Departure from the hotel with bikes to immerse ourselves in a Renaissance kaleidoscope. The Riviera del Brenta is made up of some of the most famous Venetian villas, some Palladian.
Following the cycle path we reach Padua, the Prato della Valle and the central street that connects the most important squares, the renowned Pedrocchi coffee shop and the Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto’s frescoes.
We continue towards Strà, where we meet Villa Pisani, a sumptuous and aristocratic palace, where there is the possibility of visiting the park and the rooms of the villa itself.
Nearby we find another very elegant example of Renaissance period, Villa Foscarini. Cristina, the owner, will accompany us to the shoes museum, a typical production of the area, and on a tasting itinerary based on the famous “Baccala” in the halls of the villa.
We leave again along a stretch of dirt path along a watercourse, which will lead to Dolo and the ancient mills, symbol of the activities carried out in conjunction with the Brenta River, today used as a delicious tavern for “Cicchetti”, a typical Venetian food based on bread or polenta, with a taste of sea and land.
Now we follow the Brenta river, meeting a succession of Venetian villas up to the Villa Palladiana “La Malcontenta”, which can be visited, where we find the transfer that takes us back to the hotel nearby.
